The essence and prospects of implementing digital innovations in the activities of small organizations

Abstract

Purpose. To attempt to “delimit” the terms and processes of automation, digitalization and digital transformation, taking into account the peculiarities of the existence of small business organizations.

Results. The authors assess trends that can transform the digital space and business models, analyze the prospects for the activities of small businesses, taking into account the choice of digital innovative development strategy. At the same time, attention is paid to the study of the analytical and statistical validity of the proposed approaches. In this regard, the following tasks were solved: a study was carried out on the development of terminology and the essence of the processes of automation, digitalization and digital transformation, and the author’s vision was proposed; the relevance of the issues under consideration is substantiated in terms of the importance and understanding of the characteristics of the processes and phenomena under study; the features of digital innovation are highlighted, the trends and trends in the development of digital spaces of organizations are explored.

Conclusions. It’s need to restructure the business models of small business organizations, as well as the importance of research in the field of methods and tools for implementing these approaches.
