Abstract
This article analyzes the opportunities for applying artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the economy and education system of Azerbaijan, the existing challenges, and future development prospects. A strategic approach to AI adopted by leading countries is examined, against which the emerging potential in Azerbaijan is explored, along with the institutional and legal framework in this field. The analysis demonstrates that integrating AI into economic processes is of strategic importance for enhancing productivity, automating decision-making, and strengthening the innovation environment. The paper also presents government programs, digitalization initiatives, pilot projects, and international cooperation undertaken in the field of AI in Azerbaijan. Recommendations are provided on key institutional, legal, and scientific-practical directions necessary for the effective application of AI.
