Journal History

The international scientific journal "Information and Innovations" has been published since 2006. Founder and publisher: International Centre for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI), within  22 Member States, is a specialized international organization in the field of economic cooperation and scientific and technical information, established in 1969 on the basis of a multilateral intergovernmental agreement registered by the United Nations (No. 11230 of July 23, 1971).  The decision to establish the journal was made at the 57th session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the ICSTI Member States, held on May 23-24 in Krakow, Poland. Plenipotentiaries recommended candidates to the editorial Board of the journal from among scientists and leading experts in the field of scientific and technical information, and also assisted in filling the journal with relevant materials.

The journal publishes original articles, analytical materials and reviews, which present scientific ideas and expert opinions concerning modern information processes in the field of science and scientific communications; bibliometrics and scientometrics; creation, promotion and transfer of innovations; world economy.

Keeping its best traditions, the journal  has managed to reach a new level in today's fast-changing digital world. The journal  does not lose its practical orientation. The authors of the journal are currently not only scientists and specialists from the ICSTI member countries, but also from other countries in various regions of the world.

The journal also serves to strengthen the position of the ICSTI intergovernmental organization in the world, contributes to the formation of a positive image of researchers and business representatives of the member countries in the global scientific and business community.
