Abstract

The article discusses potentially mutually beneficial and cost-effective projects that can be implemented jointly by Mongolia and Russia in the field of infrastructure. Some major projects, such as the construction of a northern corridor connecting Russia and China through Mongolia, were planned as part of the “One Belt, One Road” project, which was agreed upon by the leaders of the PRC, Mongolia and the Russian Federation in 2016 in the city of Tashkent. The northern corridor includes three railway lines and two highways. The implementation of the projects will help expand economic and trade cooperation not only between Mongolia and Russia, but also between Asia and Europe, and ways to accelerate it are proposed. The importance of laying a  gas pipeline from Russia to China through Mongolian territory is emphasized.
