Most enterprises in Moldova are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Therefore, to improve the efficiency of regional development in Moldova, develop a strategy for sustainable economic growth, and identify problem areas and potential growth points, it is necessary to assess the competitiveness of SMEs by district in the country. In Moldova, there is no single comprehensive system for evaluating the competitiveness of SMEs. Therefore, the novelty of this study lies in developing an SME competitiveness index, which can be used for district-level assessments and assessments by type of activity. The developed index can be used to assess the effectiveness of state programs, regional development strategies, or those aimed at developing SMEs. The primary methods employed in this study are normalization and the construction of a composite index. The results obtained showed that SMEs by districts are not developing stably. In 2023, the most competitive SMEs were located in the Chisinau municipality and the adjacent districts of Straseni and Ialoveni. In contrast, in 2019, enterprises from the Briceni and Cimislia districts were in the lead.
The article is devoted to the current topic of sustainable tourism as a security strategy for the tourism and hospitality industry in the context of modern environmental and socio-economic challenges. The main objective of the study is to analyze existing environmental problems, best sustainable practices and safe technologies in the tourism and hospitality industry related to water resources management in the implementation of projects in coastal areas and water bodies. The study uses modern methods for studying the role of sustainable tourism in the development and environmental safety of ecological and economic systems. Recommendations for improving sustainable tourism industry management practices in the context of challenges related to climate change and water resources are proposed and substantiated. Key aspects of sustainable management of water-based tourism projects are studied, existing problems and opportunities are considered, as well as ways to more efficient and rational use of water resources and coastal ecosystems.
Railway transportation plays an important role in the global economy, and the social and economic sustainability of many regions depends on its smooth operation. Despite the existing reliability and safety, railroads regularly experience man-made disasters accompanied by numerous casualties and significant material damage. In the vast majority of investigated cases, train accidents are caused by the “human factor”: drivers, dispatchers, engineers, construction workers, patrolmen and even passengers. To improve train traffic safety, process automation systems, including those using robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), are being actively implemented everywhere. However, the development of these innovations in turn generates new threats and risks of interaction in the human-machine-human system and already now requires a completely new level of knowledge, skills and competencies from AI developers, as well as railway industry employees, to ensure future transportation safety.
Relevance. In the era of total digitalization, the search for and implementation of ways to improve the efficiency of commercial facilities is becoming an important and urgent task.
Purpose. Justification of the methodological basis for the development of innovative solutions based on gamification mechanics aimed at increasing the economic sustainability of catering enterprises.
Materials and methods. Comparative analysis of gamification concepts, classification of gaming tools, adaptation of frameworks from related areas, benchmarking of successful cases, pilot testing of a hypothesis, modeling the relationship between game mechanics and financial activities.
Results. Results of the study in the field of preparing the architecture and functional content of a platform solution based on the use of digital game mechanics for the restaurant business market. The approaches to the implementation of marketing tools in the catering industry are identified and summarized, the novelty of the proposed solution is highlighted and architectural solutions of the developed platform are presented.
Conclusions. It is necessary to implement new methods to improve the efficiency of catering facilities. It is important to continue further research into the commercial attractiveness of such solutions.
Information processes
Relevance. The development of information technology has led to a significant increase in the volume of transmitted data, which in turn creates serious challenges for telecommunications networks. Goal. Designing the architecture of the communication network operational support system, as well as selecting appropriate and relevant technologies for further system development.
Materials and methods. Apache Zookeeper distributed service, Apache Kafka distributed streaming platform, PostgreSQL open object-relational database, Java programming language, Spring framework, Hilla web application framework, GeoJSON open format for storing and transmitting geographical data, D3 data visualization library.js, the React JavaScript library.
Results. The built system, based on a client-server architecture and micro-service interaction, allows efficient management of network resources, minimizes delays and adapts to dynamic changes in the network.
Conlusion. The use of modern technologies on both the client and server sides ensures high performance and scalability of the solution, which makes it promising for further development in the face of rapidly growing information infrastructure requirements.
Relevance. Modern development of telecommunication networks requires technologies for constructing an analytical system of operational support of the network using inventory, technological and analytical information on communication nodes for designing nodes and communication lines, routes and other telecommunication services. Planning and optimization of the communication network structure is of great importance for optimizing network loads when changing data traffic, the number of users, requirements for service availability and the quality of communication services provided.
Purpose. Modeling of the device of a communication network node for a prototype of a network support system, its representation in the form of an ER diagram.
Materials and methods. Domestic DWDM/SDH equipment manufactured by T8 and Supertel OJSC (Russia) was used. Results. A fairly universal relational model of a communication node device was developed.
Conclusions. The model is applicable to any equipment of any configuration used to provide telecommunication services.
